Fall Equinox community backyard picnic, food drive and concert hosted by One Community Programs featuring The Jen Chapin Trio.

Please join us for an afternoon in celebration of UNITY, JOY, PEACE & BALANCE. We are hosting this event with these intentions at the base, knowing that the quality we create in our daily lives and in our interactions with others is the quality we send out into the world. This year we are pleased to announce a community food drive and honoring Peace One Day as part of the event.

THE EVENT

Our gathering is a potluck picnic, food drive, peace offering & backyard concert. We ask that everyone bring wonderful food to share for the potluck picnic and high-quality non-perishable goods or monetary donations to be given to CT Food Bank as well as visiting a computer station that will be set up so that you can make your commitment to peace, We will provide beverages, plates, paper goods, etc. In addition, please bring a blanket or folding chair for seating in the backyard during the concert. We will share a meal, get to know each other, and before we enjoy music as the sun sets, we will hold a moment of silence to send our intentions for peace and balance out to individuals and communities the world over.

CT Food Bank is an organization run by individuals whose desire is to end hunger in our state. The food bank helps feed a wide range of individuals, with each donation supporting those in need. PEACE ONE DAY

September 21, 2008 is Peace One Day, a day dedicated to peace all around the world and One Community Programs is honoring this visionary day by hosting a “Committing to Peace” computer sign-up station this year.
