During our April journey to Teotihuacan, Mexico we noticed a new feature of one of our dear friends. Our friend is centuries old, and her/his silent reflection shares something new with us each time we visit. As we stood and gazed into the eyes and heart of this friend, s/he shared a vital tool that we often overlook or forget: the art of listening.
To take you there, we share this description of what we saw: our friend presents him/herself with two images: a mask and a bare face. The mask sits on top of shoulders, where our human head normally rests. The bare face sits in the center of her/his body where our human heart resides. So what was different this time (after all, we have experienced her/him many, many times)? We noticed the extremely large ears on our friend’s bare face. Yes, big ears, sitting right smack in the center of the body, right over the heart. Then it came to us: ears, listening, heart, all existing in the same space!
Truly, all we ever need to do is listen. The only question is: to what are we listening?
Well, our friend offers us a simple suggestion: to not only listen TO our hearts, but to listen WITH our hearts. Kind of obvious now, right? Well, that’s how these things go…
Our hearts have heard yours, and we have now formed and opened registration for three upcoming Teotihuacan Journeys! The first two are simultaneous and happen this summer – one for women and one for men. The third is in the fall around the time of the equinox, and this journey is for everyone.
Every journey we share not only takes you in to the heart of you and Teotihuacan, the centuries-old university made for us to recognize ourselves as the magnificent creators we are, but to other sacred sites in Mexico City and in the mountains surrounding the ancient pyramid city. Read on to the end of the newsletter to hear what others say about their experience in coming home to Teo.

What OCP Travelers Have to Say about Their Teo Experience
|
Immediately upon returning home I journaled about the trip. So many miracles happened, I wanted to do that quickly, while it was fresh on my mind. Now that a bit of time has passed, I wanted to take the opportunity to thank Luca and Laura for being such amazing teachers and mentors, not to mention friends! I have always been much more comfortable in the role of “hold the space for” and supporting others, not being the one that needs to be held. That shifted for me. Miracles took place each day of the trip. I learned so much about gratitude, both being grateful and having others be grateful for me by those experiences. I would strongly encourage anyone who has the opportunity to take this trip to take it. There are a few life changing workshops, seminars and experiences – this trip was that for me! -SA, FL, USA
I went to Teo with the intent to “know myself”. I did not know, at the time, that to know myself would mean to love myself. Love, peace, happiness, and joy were not words in my vocabulary. In Teo, I felt these things and now, since my journey, I know that I have a place for them within myself, that I must and will practice to make them me. -KD, MA, USA
I traveled to Teo with my family – 3 of us! The trip continues to provide a wonderful impact on our lives. My partner is centered and happy, and very focused in the present. He can now clearly perceive his life, with a great amount of strength and confidence. We are both speaking a common language, with understanding of each other’s desires. For me, I am opening to a rich amount of detail, and with the appropriate articulation abundantly available to me, I experience clarity when meeting people, or observing the flow of my day. Dad is at his usual peace, but more open and talkative than he has been previously. But most of all, what I found to be the telling tale of our transformational journey, is that Dad is still wearing his obsidian heart, as we all do, forever marked with the symbol of love. -BC, SC & DC, Frensdorf, Germany
From the first time I set foot in Teo, there was a stirring within me – some shift in my personal energy that began moving my life in a new direction. My most recent visit illustrated for me in tangible ways the interconnectedness of the world we are in. It has helped me to expand my heart, open my mind, and to see life as it is.
